When you do commit, you are ride or die. No matter what they do or how you feel, you will not “abandon” them. You are drawn to nature, music and experiences. You want to belong and struggle with feeling alone... even in a room of people. You seek approval and attention from superiors, teachers, bosses, or coaches. You have ambition and want to succeed. If you feel like you will fail, you will pull out of the race, the class or situation so that you don’t have to face the shame. Your body confuses you. You honestly don’t know what your body needs because you of all the body types have TRIED IT ALL.
When you have hope in a new program, you see results. Within the first few weeks, you hit doubt and the results stop. This is where you give up. You will move mountains for your boss, child or significant other, but you cannot seem to have that same loyalty to yourself. Years of trying and giving up have created a loss of faith in your ability to change YOU. This translates into other areas of your life. Your body holds you back from life, in your mind. When change doesn’t happen, you try your best to “love it” anyway but it never truly lasts. You struggle with conflicted emotions around your body and your mind.
Let me help you restore your faith in yourself, your body and your ability to change. I, Traci, happen to be an endomorph. Now this isn’t the be all end all in body chemistry or a full scope of all that you truly are. I am not a nutritionist or a personal trainer, and this is not to substitute medical advice. I happen to understand the personality of this body type and what it needs. I have studied extensively “why” we are the way we are and how to work around that to see results, in every area of your life. When endomorphs start with the body, and see results, it is as if every other area of your life, opens up and you see possibility. When your faith is restored, you have hope and this is where you can speed up time.
Endomorphs or dreamers are very different than every other body type.
You gain weight easily
It is harder to lose weight
You need structure and rules but crave freedom
You seek comfort in clothes, food, furniture and surroundings
You would prefer to relax and chill then get up and do something
You are prone to despair or depression more than anxiety
You feel a lot, more than most and it is hard to process in your mind/body/soul
You adapt easily to change (even if it takes some time)
You have a hard time making yourself a priority
You are so easy to be around and people often come to you for advice
You have big beautiful dreams that scare you, especially when you lose hope
You need structure and routines more than most. Your body is very unique because it craves safety and spontaneity. This is so confusing. The Ectomorphs do better eating the same thing every day. Oatmeal at 8 AM, or walk at 5 PM, the same thing everyday like a cat. Endomorphs need to have the structure of eating at the same time but changing up the menu. You see you have a body that was the DNA Jackpot winner back in the day when food was scarce. We were the desired body type because we had the ability to eat a lot when there was food, and when food was scarce, our bodies kept a backup supply. Today with life being more sedentary, and let’s face it, food is easy to gather... we struggle with our “adaptable” bodies.
You do well when we have the structure of going to work everyday. You know what time to get up and when you need to be somewhere. If you went to work when you felt like going, they would never know when they would see you at work, you will rarely feel like getting up early to go to work. The same applies to workouts and eating plans. You are used to processing how you feel about it. “I feel like eating this”, or “I don’t feel like going there”. It is important to use your feelings to create the dream, as you are a dreamer. Create the vision you would like to see and why you want that result. Then your feelings cannot be in charge. Your choice will become your best friend. Everyday you will need to make all the choices that you have already decided you are going to do.
You do not need to accept that your body won’t ever change. What you do need to accept is that your body type needs the most outside support to change. You take such good care of everything else and you rarely have enough time or energy at the end of the day, for YOU. This isn’t because you are flawed or broken, it is just your beautiful caring soul. You do well in loving environments. And if I were to guess, how you talk to yourself, especially during change, is not a loving environment.
To get up early and go to bed early.
A slow and easy start to the day.
Sleep, if you do not sleep well, you will have a worse time seeing results.
Water both internally as well as environmentally (bath, ocean, lake, pool).
Interval training (no more chill walks) you need to sweat.
Weekly prepping because you won’t “feel” like it later.
Help understanding what happens in the mind as you go through change, you will feel a lot when you move and lose weight, your dreams will get weird, triggers and sabotage will come up trying to get you to stop (remember the body adapted to the old ways) I will be focusing on the psychology of triggers, sabotage and also willpower. (in the 90 Day Makeover Body Edition) We can build and strengthen our willpower just like a muscle.
Support and help with motivation until it becomes a lifestyle. You can trust me and my faith in your ability until you see the evidence and can build confidence.
To see results, tangible results consistently to trust.
Less processed foods and more whole foods.
To eat more dense foods 30 minutes before a workout or within 30 minutes after a workout. (This is good news! You can have pasta if you want, just make sure you work out first, it metabolized differently.)
Consistency most of all, but your body also responds quickly to the changes in your habits.
Grace. Your body is stubborn (like you haha) and it will release weight in stages. If you notice the patterns, the body will drop more for a couple of weeks, then less for a couple of weeks, it won’t do the same every week, remember, it is good at storing fuel. When it sees it can trust more is coming, it will allow another release. Get used to your personal patterns.

Honestly, it doesn’t really matter what eating plan you are on, it is the consistency that you need for months and years on end. Can you say that in your attempts to eat healthy and exercise that you were consistent for three to six months and did not see results?
